With the recent addition of the Folder Concept Art and Ideas to the group, now you'll be able to make your very own concept of a character, a weapon, a vehicle and even more within the LEGO world!

In addition, :iconthe-art-of-lego: has grown slightly since its birth, and we are getting new Members and Watchers every once in a while.
So, I want this Group to be more dynamic, and to do so, I came with the idea of this new challenge! In relation with the previous statement, the challenge I bring to you is: Design it by Yourself, which will consist on designing something within our topic!
Every theme is permitted! From Bionicle to Adventurers.

This challenge will consist on designing something all by yourself, making it effective and creative. Like if you were the designer of a movie, this will be your opportunity to share your ideas with the Group!

There is no prize other than share your creation with the Watchers of this Group. But do not worry! The future will include different contests and prizes for you!
But by now, the only rules are the same as the ones found in the main page and that you gotta be creative! After all, that's what LEGO is all about.
Every medium is permitted, Digital, Traditional and even written ideas!

Happy Friday the 13th for all you!
Hope to see some work from you all in the future.

Introduction and Rules

Welcome to :iconthe-art-of-lego:

Where the world of LEGO takes a place in the art house!

This group has been made with the purpose of bringing together all the artists passionate for the world of LEGO.

Feel free to leave a question, a suggestion or a comment here!

Before you submit something to the Group, you shall read the rules first:

#1 Always follow the :rabbithole: standard set of rules.

#2 The presentation is always important. Always make your art clear and visible enough.

#3 Always put the art in their respective Folders.

#4 Always be nice :)

#5 Every work has to be owned by you. If it is not, it can be still uploaded if a permission from the owner was given.

#6 We accept mature content, (sexual themes, strong language, violence/gore) however, you shall not upload something extremely explicit or strict to the Group. If needed, an appropiate warning must be issued.

#7 Although this group is dedicated exclusively to the art, we can accept customized pieces and Brick Art as long as they are submitted in the right folder.

#8 Crossovers, Humanizations and OCs are allowed here, as long as the main topic in the work features a LEGO character(s).

#9 This group is dedicated to the art, and we WILL NOT accept MOCs. However, any photography or piece of art that features a MOC of yours, shall be accepted.
We won't accept memes or slightly modified pictures either. BrickArt IS allowed, however.

#10 In this group we do not qualify the work by its quality or the artist's skills. We want a meaning, background and concept behind your uploads!

Every Folder has its own special rules. Read them and make sure to upload some stuff into them!

Digital Art:
Any piece of art that it's made entirely in a digital medium or that includes several digital modifications. It will not be accepted if the changes are minor.

Photography: As its name states, Photography! Make sure the picture has an acceptable quality and a meaning/background. It can also include digital modifications, such as lighting and color correction.

Traditional Art: Any piece of work made with the traditional medium that you can find in your own hand!

Literature: FanFiction, poetry, songs, stories. All accepted!

Artisan Crafts and Customizations: Pieces/Minifigures with major modifications, hand-made pieces, cosplay. This is what can enter this folder!

Concept Art and Ideas: Everything that comes to special designs, concepts and architecture within the LEGO world!

Comics: Just comics! No matter the medium used.

Don't be afraid to talk to the founder if you have any question or suggestion!

Hey Javier, is there any way I can join this group?
BobBricks Featured By Owner Nov 19, 2015  Hobbyist Digital Artist
The 'Join' option should be available to automatically approve new Members.
Does it work for you? If not, I can send you an invite.

Where is the join option?

Is it not up in the page? The button of "Join Our Group" in the big, blue section of "Contribute"?

If anyone has hopes to see old Lego characters in sets again, my LEGO Ideas project may help with that

I’d love to find some peeps who would like to swap and trade lego parts.  anyone interested?

This picture is drawn traditionally, but color digitally, where should it go?…

(Also, I'll submit the villains picture after I upload three other lego pictures)

If digital modifications have been made, then it should go on the Digital Art folder, although drawn traditionally.

Hope it helps!
